The Link To Better Sway Control: BD Diesel HD Sway-Bar End Links

Better Towing in 20 Minutes

If you do a lot of off-roading or towing with your stock or mildly lifted Dodge, the chances are that your stock sway-bar links are toasted. The pivoting joints wear out quickly, and the stock links seem to bend easily with normal heavy-duty truck use.

If your links are all bent up, then BD Diesel has some new heavy-duty, sway-bar end links for you. They come with all new hardware and fit Dodge trucks with 0 to 3 inches of lift.

We found a stock-height Dodge 3500 that hauls a gooseneck trailer and the owner has loved the BD links ever since we installed the them at Diesel Tech in San Jacinto, California. We hope BD Diesel will have some longer links for the lifted truck crowd in the near future., but for now, for trucks with more than 3 inches of lift, we’d recommend adding sway-bar drop brackets (which come with some lift kits over 3 inches tall).

01. The sway-bar end links are top of the line. The forged links have gusseting that absolutely eliminates the potential for bending or breaking. They come with new mounts that bolt to the stock sway bar (or anti-sway bar, as it technically is), and replaceable urethane bushings that can be purchased to rebuild the end links if they wear out.

05. Once installed, the sway-bar end links should sit (ideally) almost vertical at ride height. If they are sitting at too much of an angle, the sway bar won’t be as effective and your sway bar could actually flip backwards at full suspension droop. The BD links are not adjustable, so you’ll need to space down the sway bar (with drop brackets) if you’ve got a taller lift on your truck.
