The second-generation air compressor is a 200-psi unit that has a 100-percent duty cycle. The 3/4hp motor draws a maximum only 35 amps. There is a built-in cooling fan, and the check valve is already attached to the compressor’s body, which is sealed for contamination and moisture resistance. The PTFE compound piston ring surrounds a piston with an oil-free design with the air cylinder.

Are you looking for the fastest electric air compressor on the market? Look no further. Air Zenith has kits that come with a five-gallon air tank, a pressure switch, a 220-psi pressure gauge, and last but certainly not least a second-generation air compressor that will pump 200-psi full time with a 100-percent duty cycle.

Perhaps the best part of Air Zenith’s compressors (besides the outstanding performance) is that there are rebuild kits offered. Every moving part eventually wears out—especially the piston rings inside air compressors. Not wanting to make you replace an entire compressor every time something wears out, Air Zenith has piston ring rebuild kits and replacement cooling fans for when parts do eventually wear out.

Coming from the lowrider side of the industry, Air Zenith has had lots of experience figuring out how to provide a lot of air as quickly as possible for air suspensions. Making up an off-road friendly package was just a few steps away. The company has broken into the off-road market with some great packages with competitive pricing, and we were able to get our hands on an all black OB2 Off-Road kit to outfit one of our project trucks for some long-term testing.

With 42-inch tires on some of our trucks, we were happy to test an air compressor that can fill a five-gallon tank of air in under five and a half minutes.

There is an attached relay to the Air Zenith compressor. It has two wires that you’ll need to hook up: The red wire goes to a fused link and then directly to the battery, and the yellow wire gets wired to the pressure switch.

The compressor also has a black cable lead that will need to be grounded, and preferably to the battery. All connections should always be done as close to the power source as is reasonable (while staying away from heat sources).
