E Force Supercharger 2010 Ford F150 2Wd Supercharger

The days of worrying about blowing up your engine by adding a supercharger or turbo to your truck are over. New kits like this one from Edelbrock are 50-state legal and carry a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty. Peace of mind and a ton more horsepower are now possible to combine in the same sentence. Our test of the new E-Force system was conducted on a 2010 Ford F-150 2wd truck running a 5.4L V-8 engine. This kit is available for all '04-to-'10 F-150 trucks with the 5.4L engine. An optional 4WD hardware kit is available relocating the oil filter to clear the front differential should you need it.

The E-Force system provides instant, reliable, and safe horsepower with low boost for minimum stress on the engine. The core of each system is the Eaton Gen VI 2300 TV S Supercharger rotating assembly. Eaton's assembly features a four-lobe design with 160 degrees of twist for maximum flow, minimum temperature rise and quiet operation for excellent drivability. The supercharger assembly has been integrated into the intake manifold for a seamless design with minimal components, eliminating the possibility of vacuum leaks between gasket surfaces. The inverted supercharger assembly is uniquely oriented, allowing for an incredible amount of intake runner length for maximizing low-end torque. An integrated bypass valve helps eliminate parasitic loss under light throttle for improved mileage potential.

  • Not only do they perform exceptionally well, they look great under the hood. Many would never even notice there was a supercharger packed under our test truck if the E-Force logo wasn't stamped on top. The low profile, stealth design fits snug under the hood.

  • Edelbrock intended for this system to be as plug-and-play as possible. They formed new air intake lines to work with the stock box and also included a new high-flow filter. Every hose and belt is made specific to each supercharger application taking all of the guesswork out of your installation.

  • The supplied intercooler comes complete will all mounting hardware and installs with ease. Superchargers create a great deal of heat within the engine making a nice big intercooler such as this, a necessity.

  • Edelbrock gave us a sneak peak at the build process for the new systems and even let us snap a few pictures. It's tough to put into words how amazing the craftsmanship is on these kits. Edelbrock also makes nearly every piece in house, made in the good, old USA. This photo shows us the complete manifold and supercharger assembly as shipped to the consumer.

  • This is what most would refer to as the heart of the system. Here is the rear of the Eaton TVS 2300 rotating assembly that force-feeds all that power to your engine. The stock F-150 with 5.4L engine produces 310 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. With our tet truck hooked up to the dyno, we were able to see 478 horsepower and 504 lb-ft of torque a the flywheel. That is an impressive 168 more horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque.

  • We couldn't resist taking the truck out for a spin around the Edelbrock test track. After we finally located the traction control OFF button, we had some fun spinning the tires and smoking the lot. The truck officially launched us back into our seats during take off. We also noticed no significant supercharger whine or belt noise and drove nice and quiet cruising around town. A few days later we took the truck on a 300-mile test drive to see what kind of fuel numbers our almost-500hp F-150 would put out. Pleasantly surprised, we were able to average 18 mpg on the highway. Good looks, mild mannered, great gas mileage and a ton of more power is a win any day in our book.
