If your truck is big enough, not even the Bestop Powerboards or Amp Research Power Steps can drop enough to give you a reasonable step into your truck. Though the retractable steps are brilliant, they just don't swing down enough to account for 8 or more inches of lift and giant off-road tires that adorn some crew cab Super Duty trucks. On top of that, there is really no protection given with a retracting step that sucks up under the body. That's why One Up Offroad came out with their One Up Steps that install on crew cab Super Dutys and have the ability to accept retractable steps inside them. This not only give a massive amount of protection in case you ever high center your crew cab Super Duty, it also lowers the Bestop or Amp Research step 6.5 inches.

If you've got a giant Super Duty truck, you might want to look into a set to help make your truck a bit more user friendly.
