You may think that your standard valve stems are good enough for your wheels... that is until you see a Monster Valve in action.
We installed a set into a pair of Walker Evans beadlock wheels, and instead of drilling out the preexisting valve stem hole, we left the standard valve stem and drilled a new hole for the Monster Valve. Why? Well, the Monster Valves have a much larger body that standard inflation chucks and pressure gauges will not fit. Leaving the standard valve stem allows you to still fill up your tires at a gas station if you don't have your Monster Valve inflation chuck with you.
How fast do these work? We were able to deflate a 42-inch tire from 22 psi to 10 psi in 13 seconds. We were also able to fill a 42-inch tire from 0 psi to 22 psi in 22 seconds with a standard air source and the Monster Valve inflator chuck. That's 1 pound per second!
Power Tank's Monster Valves... Power Tank's Monster Valves are best used as a secondary valve stem, leaving your standard valve stem in place for checking pressure and filling the tire without the Monster Valve air chuck. The valves have a red air collar that can be opened to release air extremely fast. | We used a drill to make a... We used a drill to make a pilot hole in the wheel before making a 7/16-inch hole in the wheel. Our installer knew a neat little trick for drilling a wheel that has a tire mounted on it..... | .....Mel Wade left the tire... .....Mel Wade left the tire aired up so that the metal shavings were blown out of the wheel as it was drilled through..... |

We timed how fast we could deflate a 42-inch Goodyear MTR from 22 psi down to 10 psi and did so in just 13 seconds. | We let the tire deflate until... We let the tire deflate until the air pressure was the same inside the tire as outside the tire. We took a pressure reading off the standard valve stem as we used the Monster Valve and air chuck to inflate the 42-inch MTR from 0 psi to 22 psi in just 22 seconds! |
