The GD Sport rotors are slotted to help expel brake dust and gases that build up between pads and rotors. The drilled holes are actually "blind drilled" and are really more of dimples in the rotors than holes drilled all the way through. EBC states that this offers the same improvements as other cross-drilled rotors while eliminating the chance of rotor cracking at each drilled hole.You'll have to remove the caliper and caliper bracket to slide the new rotors on.
