Pures Installation Kit Comparison
Here is a good comparison between a stock Tundra and Pure Performance's new long travel Tundra. After driving 3,000-plus miles across country for the Off-Road Expo, we were lucky enough to catch it in its maiden voyage to the Oceano Sand Dunes.

Pures Installation Kit 4130 Cv Shafts
Up front, Pure uses new extended 4130 CV shafts to keep the wheels turning properly. By the time you read this, the production kit will use new outer tie rod ends instead of providing steering extensions (seen here). Behind the anti-sway bar you can also see the dual poly foam bump stop setup used on each side of the front end. The poly foam bumps are a cheap, work well, and are an excellent alternative for those that can't stand the "clacking" sound of hydraulic ones.

Pures Installation Kit Cad Rendering
Here is a CAD rendering of the 3-inch wider lower arm. Made out of 1/4-inch laser cut mild steel, the arm is fully boxed, seam welded, and cross ribbed. They are strong enough to take any punishment you could throw at them; the truck frame would snap before the arms.

Pures Installation Kit Upper A Arms
The upper A-arms use a 1-inch uniball held in a 1/4-inch solid chromoly cup. Uniballs don't have as much angularity as ball joints, but they are many times stronger.

Pures Installation Kit Aluminum Bodied Shocks
Pure is also introducing their 2 5/8-inch-diameter, aluminum-bodied shocks. Currently available in coilover and non-coilover setup, the shocks will come in standard lengths of 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 inches. In about a year or so, they hope to have a remote reservoir option available as well.

Pures Installation Kit Deaver Mini Leaf Packing
Out back is a Deaver mini-leaf pack raising the ride height by about 3 inches. The kit uses all the travel of Pure's 12-inch shocks that are mounted in their custom brackets.

Pures Installation Kit Final Look
We even found some mild whoops to run the truck through at speed. Though it still needed some dialing in on shock valving (which should be perfected by the time you read this), it worked well and the length of the truck and long travel suspension really let it sail through the dunes.

Pures Installation Kit Bumper
No, the Bumper Is Not For Sale
Obviously fabrication is no problem for the guys at Pure, but they deal primarily with production kits. Jeremy built this custom bumper late at night as a last-minute addition for the Expo. They do not sell this bumper and cannot make you one. With that being said, you are welcome to try and fab up one of your own.
