Kawasaki has officially entered the UTV marketplace with its '08 Teryx. Out of the box, it's an extremely capable vehicle that will take you just about anywhere you want to go in the dirt, from forest to dune. When it comes time to kick it up a notch and push the limits of your new ride, check out the new long-travel kit from California Super Trucks (CST). CST has become well known in the off-road industry for producing high-quality suspension systems and also kickin' some butt throughout the desert-racing scene. With the popularity of UTV vehicles hitting an all-new high, it was just a matter of time until we saw CST take its experience and tackle side-by-sides head on.
The new kit was designed to be an affordable long-travel system. Most of us love the idea of long travel but cannot always afford it. With the option of running your stock shocks or upgraded 16-way adjustable Walker Evans coilovers, the kit is priced right. The upper and lower control arms are 3 inches wider per side and will provide a true 12 inches of wheel travel. They are made of high-quality 4130 chrome-moly boxed steel for superior strength. The kit also includes 4340 chrome-moly heat-treated extended axleshafts, CNC-machined chrome-moly ball-joint pockets that retain the factory ball joints, and CNC-machined tie-rod extensions. Your install should take about four to six hours. No welding is required, and CST even provides you with ball-joint installation tools.
