Intercomp Air Gauges Take The Guesswork Out Of Tire Air Control

High Quality Air Guages Checking Air Pressure Intercomp

Are we kidding? Are we really running a feature about air gauges? Many people don't ever bother to check the pressure in their tires (a BIG mistake), while others use a cheapo 99-cent pen gauge they found in a bucket next to the cash register at their local auto parts store. Although pen gauges are better than nothing, they're always inaccurate and inconsistent. They're also failure-prone and hard to read. We like to trust our air-pressure readings to higher-quality products. We also adjust air pressure so our vehicles work both on the pavement and in the dirt. It's amazing how much difference it makes off-road when you take the time to reduce tire pressure.

Enter Intercomp. Famous in racing circles for its scales, shock dynamometers, alignment equipment, racks, and other fine gauges, Intercomp is no newcomer to motorsports. The company offers a number of air gauges, and we received two for our feature. One is the easily carried, 0-30-psi, 2.5-inch glow-in-the-dark air gauge marked in 1/2-psi increments. The gauge features a thumb-operated bleeder, a 17-inch Goodyear hose, and a swivel chuck. The gauge is protected by a rubber boot, which is good since the 2.5-inch gauge fits fine in a glovebox or center console and needs to be protected from shock. This gauge is also available in a number of other ranges up to 100 psi. Our new 2.5-inch Intercomp air gauge is now our gauge of choice in the field and when changing vehicles off-road. It's quick, accurate, reliable, and allows us to easily adjust pressure with its convenient bleeder valve.

High Quality Air Guages Intercomp 4 Inch
A 2.5-inch air gauge is easy to read and usually about as large as we see. The Intercomp 4-inch, fill, bleed, and read gauge dwarfs the 2.5-inch gauge.

The other gauge is really something. It's a 4-inch, fill, bleed, and read air-pressure gauge with a glow-in-the-dark face, 22-inch Goodyear hose, 45-degree swivel chuck, and a rubber protective boot. Our gauge reads 0-30 psi in 1-psi increments. It's also available in models reading up to 100 psi and 0-4x.10 bar. Although the 4-inch size is easy to read, the fill, bleed, and read feature really sets this gauge apart. The gauge has a black box with a large black button and a small silver button. When attached to an air hose, depressing the black button allows air to flow through the gauge into the tire. The silver bleeder allows pressure to be adjusted without removing the gauge. It's amazing how much time this saves!

The Intercomp gauges have given us a whole new level of air-pressure control. As we already said, the 2.5-inch gauge goes with us in all our vehicles. The 4-inch, fill, bleed, and read gauge stays with our compressor or Power Tanks. Both gauges can be used in tough off-road conditions and stay working, even when banged around or dropped accidentally. You should be checking air pressure all the time and adjusting tires to meet on- or off-road requirements. We can think of no better way to do this than with Intercomp air gauges.

High Quality Air Guages Intercomp 0 To 30 Psi
The Intercomp 0-30-psi, 2.5-inch glow-in-the-dark air gauge is marked in 1/2-psi increments. The gauge features a thumb-operated bleeder and a protective rubber boot and is also available in models that read up to 100 psi.
High Quality Air Guages Intercomp 100 Psi
The 2.5-inch gauge is very easy to use anywhere tire pressure needs to be checked. The 17-inch Goodyear hose is strong and abrasion-resistant. The chuck rotates 360 degrees so you can get into almost every valve-stem configuration. We now carry this gauge in every vehicle we use.
High Quality Air Guages 1 Psi Increments
The Intercomp 4-inch, fill, bleed, and read gauge is marked in 1-psi increments, has a large 4-inch face, and is protected with a rubber boot. The 22-inch Goodyear hose shrugs off abrasions, and the 45-degree chuck swivels 360 degrees for easy use.
High Quality Air Guages Little Black Box
The little black box on the 4-inch gauge allows you to attach the gauge to a compressor or Power Tank and, when depressing the large black button, fill your tires. The small chrome button is the bleeder. It's amazing how fast you can get your tires to the right pressure with this gauge!
High Quality Air Guages Intercomp 4 Inch Gauge
Although our 4-inch gauge is 0-30 psi, Intercomp also offers the 4-inch, fill, bleed, and read gauge in models reading up to 100 psi and 0-4x.10 bar.
High Quality Air Guages Glow In The Dark
Both the 2.5-inch and 4-inch Intercomp gauges glow in the dark well enough to be easily read.
