2006 Dodge Ram Control Arms
Our new KORE control arms are a big improvement over the wimpy stock units. The KORE arms are TIG-welded, 0.120-wall, rectangular steel with large rubber bushings in front and spherical bearings in the rear. They afford extreme strength with light weight and are owner-serviceable.

2006 Dodge Ram Install Control Arms
The KORE arms install with no modification, using stock OE hardware. This upper arm on the driver side needed some persuading to slide into the bracket. Actually, we "persuaded" the bracket to accept the arm by spreading it a bit. In other words, for the sarcastically challenged, the bracket was really tight.

2006 Dodge Ram Installed Anti Sway Bar
Here's the KORE antisway bar installed. We used the billet drop blocks here, but once the truck was on the ground we found antisway bar geometry was better if they were removed for our stock-height application.

2006 Dodge Ram Rapid Hitch
Andersen Manufacturing's Rapid Hitch is the perfect hitch for anyone who tows multiple trailers like us. We can flip the double ball over, change the drop to a rise, or adjust the height of the drop by simply removing the hitch pin and putting it back in place. It's V5-rated up to 10,000 pounds of trailer weight and 1,500 pounds of tongue weight (limited by ball capacity). The Rapid Hitch comes in three drop/rise sizes: 3-3/4, 5-3/4, and 10 inches, the size we chose, which can be adjusted from 4 inches to a full 10 inches of drop/rise. We also chose a 2-inch and 2-5/16-inch ball combo so we can easily tow any trailer we come across.

2006 Dodge Ram Open Country Tires
We mounted LT35x12.50R17E Toyo Open Country M/T tires on our stock Dodge alloy wheels. The Toyos work in a wide range of conditions from dry pavement and dirt to snow and light mud. They're also an "E"-load-range tire, meaning they can handle heavy loads if necessary. We probably don't actually need the "E" rating, but it's nice to have. These tires took very little weight to balance.
