Rockworx transformed this '94 Wrangler from an ugly duckling into a super-Jeep by taking superb parts and using their considerable know-how to put them all together. This project turned out better than we could have hoped! Check out the photos and see for yourself.
The Advance Adapters Rad-A-Kool... The Advance Adapters Rad-A-Kool aluminum radiator and Spal electric fan keep the 5.3-liter mill cool on even the hottest days. You can see the aluminum power steering reservoir from PSC. A heavy-duty PSC power steering pump is mounted below the alternator where you can't see it. Walker Evans Racing coilover reservoirs are mounted on the coilover mount reinforcement bridge. Check out the knobs on the end of the reservoirs that allow easy 12-way adjustment. Each click makes a big difference! | The Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 frontend... The Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 frontend is 63 inches wide and houses 5.13 Precision Gear gears and a Detroit Locker. A Currie Steering Box Brace ensures the PSC steering box stays in place. Rockworx fabricated the beefy tie rod, drag link, and Panhard rod. It used high-quality 3/4-inch Heim ends with high-misalignment bushings throughout. | The PSC steering ram for the... The PSC steering ram for the hydraulic assist is mounted to the housing and the knuckle - the optimum setup. |
The rear uses Currie progressive... The rear uses Currie progressive 4-inch coils and Walker Evans Racing Compression Adjuster Reservoir 500 Series 2.0 shocks. These shocks also have 12 adjustments for compression damping. The rebound damping on these needed no adjustment either. Rockworx mounted the Anti-Rock sway bar ahead of the gas tank. We didn't think it would work well there, but it seems to be working great. | Rockworx used 700 Series Compression... Rockworx used 700 Series Compression Adjuster Reservoir Coil-Over shocks from Walker Evans Racing. The springs are from Eibach. The 12-way compression adjustment really lets you dial in the performance you need and want. Rebound damping was perfect from the start. A Currie Anti-Rock sway bar allows more adjustment for off- and on-road control. | The 63-inch-wide Dynatrac... The 63-inch-wide Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 rearend also houses 5.13 Precision Gear gears and a Detroit Locker. A Dynatrac Explorer disc brake kit with drum emergency brake and e-brake cables from M.O.R.E. was also installed. Rockworx modified the 24-gallon stainless Currie gas tank to work with the Pro Rock 60 and the increased 98-inch wheelbase of the Jeep. The tank now holds about 22 gallons. |
Rockworx used the mounting... Rockworx used the mounting bridge from Dynatrac for its upper link mount in front. Note the coated braided-stainless brake lines from Saunders Hydraulics. They're abrasion-resistant and tough. | The PSC steering box is custom-built... The PSC steering box is custom-built for hydraulic-assisted steering systems. The boxes are strong, have a great ratio for off- and on-road steering, and look custom too. | The triangulated upper long... The triangulated upper long arms do away with the Panhard rod. The front and rear CV driveshafts were built by Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts. The Flowmaster muffler and exhaust was installed by the experts at Performance Muffler and Auto in Montrose, Colorado. |
 | The Atlas transfer case from... The Atlas transfer case from Advance Adapters affords a 3.8:1 Low range as well as the ability to drive in 2WD Low and front-wheel drive. The Rockworx crossmember includes a flat skidplate that's a separate part from the rear transfer case bracket, so it can be removed for easy servicing. | A super-fast and strong Warn... A super-fast and strong Warn 9.5xp winch was mounted on a Warn YJ winch mounting plate. A Currie Rock Crawler II shorty front bumper was also used. Clean and simple is good. |
