Ready Ranger
Kyle Wilkinson of Grass Valley, California, is currently enrolled in classes at the WyoTech School of Automotive Technology. He not only wanted to build his '00 Ford Ranger but also wanted to learn the intricate details of the inner workings of the Blue Oval's lifeline. His truck is equipped with a 4-inch Superlift suspension system, Hella 500 off-road lights, K&N intake system, MangaFlow exhaust, Pro Comp 1079 wheels that have been color-matched, and a billet grille. His truck is due to enter the fabrication shop at WyoTech to receive new tube bumpers, 'cage work, and rock sliders. In the future, Kyle will be adding a Dixon Brothers long-travel suspension kit as well as beefing up the shock absorbers all around this Ranger.
Deep Duty
Ryan Wiegel of Franklin, Pennsylvania, is definitely an off-road enthusiast. His '00 Ford F-250 Super Duty not only performs as a daily driver but also leads him into the trails near his home and the local lake. One of the images shown here was taken during a recent outing where he tested out the boating capabilities of the Ford. During his water run, a small outboard motorboat came by and circled him, showing just how deep he had gone. That clearance is achieved via a 6.5-inch Rubicon kit, a 2-inch Daystar bushing kit, and Bilstein 5150 shocks on Donahoe Racing shock hoops with 37-inch Irok tires on 16x10-inch Weld Stonecrusher wheels. Also found around this ride is a set of Dynatrac 35-spline axles, a Dynatrac Free-Spin Hub conversion kit, Warn HD hubs, a Banks Powerplus kit, and a K&N Air Charger system. We aren't certain, but we can't help wondering if the picture Ryan submitted with the kayaks on top means his next water crossing is going to double as a kayak launching pad.
