There are a lot of tire companies springing up that we've never even heard of before, offering a bunch of tire models for UTVs. Wheel companies too. And from what we've been told, companies addressing UTVs are seeing demand increase steadily.
Like most people, we tend to trust brands we know. This doesn't mean we won't try out new brands and give them the opportunity for testing, but we're sort of new into the UTV industry, and we haven't learned too much about all the companies yet. Our best bet is to go with a wheel we know will be of the highest quality and a tire that has a name we know and trust on the sidewall.
Since we needed some new wheels and tires for our UTV, we called up Bones at OMF, and he recommended that we get on a Maxxis tire, specifically the Bighorn radial. We were going to be using our UTV for desert mostly, but we wanted to take it up into some trails too. We didn't live in Arizona or some other place you could street license it, so we didn't care much at all about pavement performance.
