Gale Banks Engineering introduces its new Ram-Air intake system. Banks' Ram-Air systems are available for 6.6L Duramax LLY and LB7 trucks (5.9L Cummins and 6.0L Power Stroke versions coming soon). The new intake adds up to 39 hp and 69 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels when combined with Banks' Six-Gun Diesel Tuner. The design consists of a hanging, high-flow, 360-degree, eight-layer filter with a huge 7-1/8-inch outlet; a shielded cold-air box to accommodate engine movement; and a streamlined intake path with a wide-open inlet that virtually eliminates any intake restriction. As a result, the system offers 42-percent better airflow than stock and is fully enclosed from the engine compartment to keep hot, underhood ambient air out of the intake.

During recent adventures with the Toyota Trailhead Team, TLC (Toyota Land Cruisers) noticed some trail damage occurring on preproduction test vehicles. TLC designed simple, one-piece, 1/8-inch powdercoated steel skids to protect the rear suspension arms. These skids have already seen widespread use and are trail-proven to work. They are available for $119.50 per pair.

Chevy's LS1 engine has set new standards for power output and light weight from a stock small-block engine. That makes it perfect for swapping into vehicles that can use an injection of 21st century muscle. One of the keys to making a successful LS1 swap is a high-quality custom harness, like these from Howell Engine Developments. The Howell LS1 harness makes hooking up the electronic engine and transmission controls as easy as plugging in the required connectors. Howell LS1 harnesses utilize GM high-temperature wire, original equipment Packard Weatherpack connectors, and high-temperature shielding to ensure the highest standard of reliability.

The Ford F-450/550 may be just the right truck to get the job done, but the factory-installed suspension leaves something to be desired. The new Kelderman suspension is a great choice for those owners looking for more out of their truck. The new system converts the suspension to a bolt-on air-ride system that is custom-engineered to make the F-450/550 ride great and change ride height a full 2 inches lower than the stock suspension.
The kit comes standard with an electronically controlled automatic height-control unit with air dump. More features of the system include being able to utilize the factory sway bar, a parallel trailing arm system that eliminates axle twist, minimal pinion angle movement, and a low-profile four-bag design that allows the truck to run 2 inches lower than the factory height. The kit includes a wiring harness, bolts, a compressor, and easy-to-read instructions.
