1-Ton Tahoe Updates
I was wondering how the new solid axle swap kit is doing on the '98 Tahoe that was done in your July 2010 magazine (Solid Axle Weekend) I was just curious how you're liking it and also wondering if you know if the company is going to make a kit for any of the newer Chevy pickups, like an '03 Chevy 2500. Thanks for your time and keep up the good work! 'Hope to hear from you soon.
Thomas Baines

The 1-Ton Tahoe has actually been working out great. The truck drives so much better than it did with the lifted IFS suspension on it, and its drivetrain is much stronger now. The suspension travel is so much more impressive, and the dampening abilities of the FOA remote reservoir shocks lets the Tahoe hit rough patches at much higher speeds than the old twin-tube shocks did. Check out the 1-Ton Tahoe in our Long-Term Update in this issue.

Fabworx Offroad (www.fabworxoffroad.com) actually does make a kit for '99-to-'06 Chevy trucks as well. I think that will be your best-priced kit (for a good kit that won't end up costing you more in the end).

Pontiac Lifting
Hi, I would like to know if I can get a 2-inch lift for my '03 Pontiac Vibe or whom I may get it from. Thanks.
Jesse

Well, this is another first. No, Jesse, I don't know of any Vibe lifts.

And while I'm definitely not into the trar (half truck/half car) thing myself, I commend you for trying to lift anything!
