A truck with this much potential should look just like this underneath. The 6061 Aluminum skid plates run the entire length of the truck with only the suspension and driveshaft allowed to swing lower.

  • It was important to keep the creature comforts alive inside the cabin to help ease those very long days in Baja. Remember, when you prerun a 1,000-mile course, often you have to drive back as well. VDO gauges lay beautifully wrapped in a carbon fiber panel behind the MOMO Race steering wheel. PCI Race Radios provided the intercom system, a Lowrance 6500C GPS handled guidance and an Icom Race Radio delivered communications. As you saw in the rear, the air conditioning is still functioning and has vents for both the front and rear passengers.

  • Felipe Romo used to lay out the interiors for Saleen racecars, now he works in-house for Arciero and wrapped this interior in a tan leather and suede combo. He even rewrapped the Beard Racing seats. Arciero also had the entire steel cabin double walled and heat/sound insulated. Its tough toning down a 600hp motor with the go-fast pedal mashed to the floor, but it sure did make a difference during our test drive.

  • Fuel and water locations are marked clearly so there is no mistake. The truck has an onboard water reservoir that holds 10 gallons and a shower unit. The attention to detail surround the truck was something to behold. The TIG and TIN work was some of the best we've seen.

  • Dual C&R transmission coolers are mounted just behind the tires with the air conditioning condenser resting above the 62-gallon fuel cell. Al had the condenser moved to the rear in order to allow the front radiator better breathing room. Optima Red Top Batteries are tucked in just behind the spare tires next to a few bottles of emergency oil. The retractable billet aluminum light bar is holding four Vision X HID lights.

  • Special compartments take advantage of any extra space around the truck. Aluminum panels also protect the rear from rock spray. Two full size spare tires sit comfortably in the rear helping add weight and for easy access. The simple grab-and-pull release level is a nice touch.

  • The Chrisman rear end is a thing of beauty. This one is filled with a full spool, 10-inch ring-and-pinion and 5.43 gears.
