Metal Munky also fabricated the bedcage. Dual spares are always kept mounted in the bed, and Bruce has already acquired fiberglass bedsides, which will be installed soon. The truck remains street legal.

Suspension:
Front: Custom long-travel kit fabricated by Metal Munky; includes upper and lower control arms, 2.0 Fox 8-inch stroke shocks, FOA 2.0 x 2-inch hydraulic bump stops, coil springs.
Rear: modified stock spring pack with 2.0 Fox 14-inch stroke shocks, Metal Munky-fabricated bedcage.

Steering:
Factory Chevrolet and fabricated parts

Brakes:
Factory Chevrolet

Tires/Wheels:
31X10.50 tires (various make, depending on environment), 15-inch American Racing wheels.

Interior:
Stock with custom fabricated light-switch console

Other parts:
Metal Munky fabricated front bumper w/skidplate. ZR2 rear axle with limited slip differential.

  • The S-10 has 14 inches of front wheel travel, but is strapped at 12 inches to keep the coil springs securely in place. The front-end track width has been increased 3.5 inches on each side. Bruce isn't afraid to launch the truck, and repeatedly aired it as we watched with glee.

  • The ashtray was removed to free up some dash space, and Bruce fabricated a light-switch console to operate his bumper-mounted, 35-watt Xtreme HID lights (he also has HID headlights). CC Lighting helped with the light install.
