What do you build after you have already owned a pair of award-winning, show-stopping, whoop-eating, Trophy Trucks? When Gary Hough set out on a mission to create yet another masterpiece, he decided this time around he would leave the truck body aside. Searching for another top-notch fabrication team to do the job he ran into the guys at Racer Engineering (www.racerengineering.com). Their Pre-Racer four-seater car proved to be faster and lighter, and with some custom additions from Gary, would quickly become Gary's next vehicle topping the abilities of his previous rides. To spare no expense is putting it lightly. The lines on this car are gorgeous. Every piece of tube and every inch of aluminum has a purpose. The red and black paint scheme was laid down by Streight Edge Paint in Lake Elsinore, California. The motor compartment is covered for protection but well ventilated with screens. Gary has a roof rack added just in case a long trek into no-mans land was needed. The weight of Gary's new car is a solid 4,300 pounds.The lines on this car are gorgeous. Baja Designs lights were chosen for the car's front light needs with a compliment of their powerful 4-inch Fuego HID lamps. A pair of Fox 2.5-inch coilovers and Fox 3.5-inch bypass shocks are mounted to each corner of the car. Track width is 92 inches in front and 97 inches in the rear. Racer designed an air scoop just under the light bar that pulls air in and along the roof of the car into the vehicles cooling system. A really nice touch as well as sleek in design. It includes a 10-inch color Lowrance GPS, Racepak digital gauge cluster, Racer-X communications and a Racer-X race radio. Don Christianson at American Wire Harness in Rowland Heights, California is responsible for all wiring on the car. Beard RX-3 headed race seats are holding all four passengers in place with Crow padded five-point belts. A Bunderson hydraulic air jack can be found under the front seat.The dash was built by Aluminum Koncepts out of Hemet, California.
