We caught up with Mike DeFord of Bully Dog on his way to a CORR Race in Chula Vista, California. We wanted to take a closer look at the famous CORR Pace Truck and see what it was made of. The truck does great on a flat short course but how would it fair to the likes to the rough Barstow racecourse? Mike said, "As long as I can make it to the race I will push the truck as hard as you want." With the photo shoot completed, we can safely say the truck is set up just right, and Mike made his way to the race with no problems. Turn the page and step inside one tough Nissan Titan truck.
We found Mike ready to go... We found Mike ready to go when we rolled out of our tent, taking in some early morning sun. CBI Offroad out of Rigby, Idaho, is responsible for the bed cage/roof rack firmly planted into the bed of Mike's Titan. The entire unit is made of 4130 chromoly tube and will soon serve as a rear shock hoop as well. | CBI also fabricated the front... CBI also fabricated the front bumper and skid-plate combination. A pair of giant Lightforce lights brighten up the desert when called to duty. If that isn't enough light, the four Lightforce lights located on the roof rack will assure he never loses his way. | The Titan ate up the Barstow... The Titan ate up the Barstow desert without problem; a testament to a properly setup truck, a stout suspension system and a little common sense behind the wheel. |
 | Climbing under the front of... Climbing under the front of the truck reveals the PRG Products Long Travel Suspension System. The PRG kit uses 2.5-inch Sway-a-Way shocks and Eibach coils. The front end measured an ample 12 inches of solid travel and also uses Sway-a-Way extended axles to accommodate the 4WD system. | The rear portion of the PRG... The rear portion of the PRG suspension consists of a Deaver Springs leaf pack setup to perfectly match the travel and weight of the Nissan Titan. The kit also uses 2.0 Sway-a-Way piggy-back reservoir shocks. |
