As the popularity of Rhinos has increased, so have the wild ideas of how to customize them. Magnum Offroad in Vista, California, is one company that is continually raising the bar when it comes to the customization of these amazing vehicles. As manufacturers of long-travel suspension systems, rollcage systems, and fiberglass components for the Rhino, the brotherly team of Dan and Mike Rosenzweig, owners of Magnum Offroad, chose their latest creation to serve as a rolling showroom, following the "product speaks louder than words" philosophy.
In addition to their UTV products, the brothers also fabricate products for the Hummer H1 line, which explains why with one look at their Rhino products, one can instantly see the same level of craftsmanship, durability, and performance found in the Hummer H1 components.  The 1.5-inch-diameter, 0.095-inch-wall...  The 1.5-inch-diameter, 0.095-inch-wall 4130 chrome-moly chassis of the '07 Yamaha Rhino 660 has been covered with custom-fabricated metal body panels that are easily removed for maintenance and access. For the areas where it was just not feasible to use metal components and reduce weight, Magnum Offroad fabricated its own line of fiberglass hoods and fenders to give the Rhino that full-on race appearance. |  Rolling stock consists of...  Rolling stock consists of a set of beadlocked 12x7 ITP T7 black powdercoated wheels wrapped with 25-inch Maxxis Bighorn tires. |  For those midnight runs through...  For those midnight runs through the dunes, four Baja Designs/Soltek 8-inch LaPaz HID lights have been attached to a 4130 chrome-moly lightbar that has been integrated with the internal cage's structure. |
 The front suspension features...  The front suspension features Magnum Offroad's very own 6-inch long-travel suspension system and its 6-inch billet tie-rod system. In addition to the 14 inches of added wheel travel, the UTV's track width has been increased by 4 inches per side. A Magnum Offroad skidplate and custom 4130 chrome-moly front bumper have also been installed. |  Fabricated from a combination...  Fabricated from a combination of 4130 chrome-moly tube and plate material with FK rod-end and uniball joints at each pivot point, the control arms for the suspension system are bulletproof and able to withstand whatever is dished out to them. As we mentioned before, due to the increase in track width, a pair of Summers Brothers 4340 extended axles fill the gap between the factory OE and modified width differential. An additional layer of stability and durability are provided by the width increase. It's important to mention that the hardware for the suspension kit is rated as Grade 8. |  The rear of the Rhino has...  The rear of the Rhino has been stripped of any unnecessary factory items and replaced with a full cage system. It continues throughout the entire vehicle and has been mated to the vehicle's frame. For added safety, an 8-gallon Jaz fuel cell has been mounted behind the two PRP racing seats with five-point Crow Enterprizes harnesses. |
 Fox 2.5x6.5-inch reservoir...  Fox 2.5x6.5-inch reservoir racing shocks with custom-rated Gravity coil springs have been dispatched at each corner to take care of the damping duties. Also worth mentioning is the Looney Tuned dual exhaust system that provides additional horsepower and a deeper, more meaningful voice to the unit. | | |
