Yamaha Launches Online Outdoors Tip Of The WeekYamaha Outdoors has launched a new online Tip of the Week from its main consumer website. The weekly tips include seasonal information on outdoor topics of interest to hunters, farmers, ranchers, and other outdoor enthusiasts who own ATVs and side-by-side (SxS) vehicles. Jeepspeed Adds New Race To Its Best In The Desert 2008 ScheduleCasey Folks, director of Best in the desert racing Association, announced that Jeepspeed, the "Jeep Only" series, has added an additional Best in the desert event to its racing schedule for 2008. Jeepspeed is a Jeep-owners association for racing, rallying, and adventures.
"I am excited to announce this increased participation by the Jeepspeed team. The Best in the desert Series, with five car and truck races, is an ideal venue for Jeepspeed to take advantage of the opportunities the Best in the desert series offers. Jeepspeed will now be running the Bluewater resort & Casino Parker 425, Terrible's 250 at Primm, and Henderson's Fabtech 400," Folks said.
"We are pleased to include yet another Best in the desert race to our exciting 2008 Jeepspeed series. We are elevating our reputation in 2008 by increasing our commitment to Casey's Best in the desert series to three races. We are looking forward to our expanded relationship with Casey and his well-run Best in the desert racing series," Clive Skilton, owner of the Jeepspeed Series, commented.
Jeepspeed offers two classes. Jeepspeed Challenge, Best in the desert Class 1700, is for any six-cylinder Jeep with limited modifi-cations. This is the largest grass-roots starter class in off-road racing today. Jeepspeed Cup, Best in the desert Class 3700, is for Jeeps with any Jeep/Mopar power. For example, V-8 installations in existing Jeepspeed cars or the new four-door Wrangler with a Hemi V-8. This class has been created for Jeepspeed competitors who want to go faster.
"We are pleased to welcome Jeepspeed competitors for an additional race in 2008. We run some tough events here in the U.S. deserts, and Jeepspeed vehicles have traditionally done well in this rugged environment," Folks continued.
