It one time or another in our busy lives, we have all undoubtedly heard the phrase, "Work hard and play even harder." Now, for the vast majority of us, a weekend at Glamis with our sand car is what we consider, "playing even harder" - at least that's what we believed was the case until we met Colby Enger of Carlsbad, California.
For Enger, playing this hard is considered work, and he loves every minute of it! As the owner of Turn Key Engine Supply in Oceanside, California, a supplier of custom-built engines and wiring harnesses to some of today's premier sand car and hot rod builders and consumers, being at the dunes with his '06 Extreme Performance Platinum sand car is well within his job description.

For additional control and turning ability, a CNC turning brake was also installed. Orchestrating the brake system is a CNC master cylinder and matching hanging pedal assembly with custom fittings, hardware, and stainless steel lines. |

Once seated in the one-of-four custom-stitched and heated PRP seats and strapped in via the five-point Crow race harnesses, one begins to notice that the creature comforts of home are just an arm's length away, which is the exact distance from the sealed switches that control the four Acro 6-inch HID lights mounted on the adjustable lightbar on the roof, the custom JL Audio XM-equipped audio system, and the Lowrance GPS unit. | | |
