SoCal SuperTrucks of San Bernardino, California, has been turning out unique show-quality trucks for years. The company's latest creation was born the day owner Casey Coughlin got a phone call from Weld Racing requesting a partnership to design the next truck that would represent both companies at the upcoming SEMA show. After visiting their booth and spending some time circling the truck, we knew our readers would appreciate learning a little more about this camouflage masterpiece. This '04 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab is the perfect combination of getting there fast and looking good doing it.

  • StarSide Design of Riverside, California, did an incredible job covering this vehicle in a show-quality finish with an off-road design in mind. The entire frame of this truck was stripped down and painted gloss black before reassembly. The front fiberglass fenders are from Glassworks, and the rear stock fenders have been pulled and opened 4 inches to make room for the much larger wheels and tires. Anodized door handles were also added for that little extra touch of class.

  • It is easy to notice the attention to detail that was put into the construction of this truck. Every inch of steel tubing, fiberglass, and paint was laid with perfection. This is the kind of truck that many of us wish we could afford - something that not only looks great driving down the road but also has the ability to tear up the dirt. Both the custom front and rear bumpers line up perfectly with the body lines, creating a very low profile.

The metalwork allows three motorcycles to be transported within the center of the bed. A set of Fox 2.5x16-inch triple-bypass shocks and 2.0x4-inch Fox bumpstops are paired alongside.

SoCal SuperTrucks added custom Heim steering and beefed up the shocks with Fox 2.5x8-inch coilovers, Fox 2.5x8-inch bypasses, and 2.0x4-inch bumpstops. In order to make all of this push 15 inches of wheel travel,

The rearend housing has been trussed, powdercoated, stuffed with 4.56 ring-and-pinion gears, and covered with a Mag-Hytec differential cover. An Eaton posi rear locker was also installed to keep everything turning in unison. The rear-end wheel travel measures 18.5 inches.
