Taco' Supreme - Solid Axle Toyota Tacoma

The stock Tacoma rearend retains its brakes and the excellent Toyota E-Locker. 5.29 All-Pro BTR gears were installed. All-Pro's U-bolt flip kit provides more ground clearance and keeps vulnerable U-bolt threads out of danger.

The rear leaf packs are All-Pro 3-inch units. Two-inch-longer-than-stock greaseable shackles are also utilized. The Walker Evans reservoir shocks have 12 compression damping adjustments, allowing the suspension to be balanced perfectly front and rear.

The upper coilover frame mount is strong, clean, and makes a nice mounting point for the external reservoir. You can see the compression damping adjustment knob on top of the reservoir.

Walker Evans builds All-Pro's coilovers for its SAS kit. They're valved perfectly and feature 12 compression damping adjustments for fine tuning.

37x12.50R17 BFGoodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/As are mounted on 17x9-inch Mickey Thompson Classic II alloy wheels with OMF beadlocks.

The FJ80 high-pinion third member houses All-Pro BTR 5.29 gears and a Detroit Locker. Look at the innovative control-arm mounts on the frame.

The D60 frontend features 4340 chrome-moly axleshafts and F-450 bearings, U-joints, and 1-ton hubs. Custom Wilwood calipers, rotors, and spindles allow the use of six-lug, 15-inch Toyota wheels.

A side view shows how well proportioned the bobbed Tacoma is. Approach and departure angles are fantastic.
