Gary Farrell of NCD Customs was never a big fan of Nissan trucks until the day he stopped at his local Nissan dealership to testdrive the new Titan. After spending a little more time behind the wheel of the test truck than you normally should, he drove home with one. Since that day, Gary and the team at NCD Customs have put over 2,000 hours into the development of this new project truck which was a major head-turner at the recent Off-Road Expo in Pomona, California.

The addition of a Volant air intake system and air filter is a great asset when your truck spends the amount of time in the dirt as this one does. The 5.6L V-8 engine provides plenty of power at this point according to Gary, but he does foresee a supercharger in the future.
2006 Nissan Titan Travel Glassworks Fenders
Running under the Glassworks fenders and hood is a complete set of 37x12.5R17 BF Goodrich Baja T/A tires surrounding American Racing Mojave 17x8-inch-series wheels.

A custom rear bumper was fabricated by NCD in order to hold a full-size spare safely while roaming throughout the Southern California deserts. Knowing that Gary would need to regulate the amount of air in his tires depending on the terrain challenges, he added a 5-gallon Power Tank air tank to the bed of his truck for quick and easy access.

The front end consists of CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum upper control arms and CNC 4130 chrome-moly boxed lower control arms powdercoated black. It also has CNC-machined, upper anodized shock mounts, 6061-T6 billet steering arms, Heim joint connections, extended stainless steel brake lines, limit straps, and 2.5-inch King coilover shocks and bumpstops. This system also requires the installation of flared or fiberglass front fenders which are not included in the kit.

2006 Nissan Titan Travel Long Travel Suspension
The first major undertaking for the new ride was to come up with a long-travel suspension system that was going to add off-road performance, gain ground clearance for larger tires, and provide as little lift as possible, combined with the ability to run a 37-inch tire. The kit lifted the truck approximately 5 inches with a new wheel-travel number of 16 inches. Are you wondering why you haven't seen many long-travel Nissan Titans running around? That's because this is one of the only ones as the NCD kit was the first of its kind. Also added to this front end was a custom bumper/light bar with Hella Rally 4000 off-road lights to keep the nighttime vision friendly.

Under the rear of the Titan is a set of King 10x2.5-inch piggyback reservoir shocks and a Deaver Spring 10-pack leaf-spring setup. The combination of these two really helps Gary when traveling through the dunes of Glamis. For a little extra rumble and horsepower, he added a SuperTrapp exhaust system.

If you carry motorcycles in the bed of your truck, you know what a pain it can be to secure them. NCD makes this MotoBar that is available in either two-bike or three-bike variations. It is made from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, stainless steel, and ABS injection-molded plastic.
