Just as life has evolved, cutting the edge of the frontier so too has in today's explorations. In fact, 4x4s have been developed for the specific purpose of crossing over tough terrain.
Of course, cruising the Frontier in style is the best way to explore the landscape. Just ask Shawn Williams, owner of Street Concepts in Riverside, California. Shawn is in the business of building icons for the purpose of marketing. Shawn dropped the Frontier off at Custom Motorsports in Riverside, California, where the scratch-built 12-inch lift took shape under the little truck. After three months of thrashing on the Nissan, the custom drop-bracket system held the front of the truck up with the help of Fox shocks. Out back, Atlas leaf springs leveled out the ride height with the same 2-inch Fox shocks that were fit to the front. Custom driveshafts fit the new lift with the corrected pinion angles, and 18-inch KMC cast-chromed wheels wrapped in Toyo M/T 38x15.5R18 meats sit under the imported 4x4.
A MagnaFlow exhaust system exits through the bedside just behind the rear tire, while a Sir Michaels roll pan smoothes the rear of the truck. A custom sheetmetal bedliner was fabbed with a bike rack by Twins Custom Concepts. Fix Auto Collision in Anaheim, California, painted the yellow pickup, and Garage Graphics laid down the tribal vinyl graphics that finish off the color scheme.
Inside, the quad-cab truck is equipped with a fully integrated entertainment center. This custom install was performed by Advance Mobile System. A Kenwood KVT-M700 with an integrated Kenwood KNA-V2100 navigation system heads up the audio global positioning sensory. Of course, let's not forget the music.A Kenwood KDC-C810 head unit and 10-disc CD/DVD player are connected to two KX-800.4 amplifiers. The amps feed power to two S10L7 8-inch subs, a set of R55 5.25-inchers in the front doors, and RS6 6.5-inch splits in the rear doors.
The center console, dash cover, and door inserts were refinished with yellow, dark-gray, and carbon-fiber accents. Cal Auto Designs also installed Katzkin seat skins, featuring yellow and gray carbon-fiber-style inserts. The finished product is one of the nicest Nissan Frontiers we've seen. Of course, that's Shawn's job - even we are jealous.
