Introducing: K&N Generation II Fuel-Injection Performance Kit
Biography: Noticeably increases overall engine performance and throttle response by maximizing airflow through the air filter and the air inlet system. The Generation II setup also smooths the airflow and allows for an increase in the total airflow volume, which promotes engine efficiency. The Generation II is a complete composite replacement for the factory air filter assembly and positions the new, high-flow, washable K&N Filtercharger element in a near-OE location where it can gulp cool, fresh air. K&N's Generation II Fuel-Injection Performance Kit is 50-state legal and is currently offered for the '99-to-2000 Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra equipped with either a 4.8L or a 5.3L V-8 engine.
The Performance: Expect an increase of 18 hp and a 16-lb-ft improvement in torque along with basic improvements in the throttle response and the fuel mileage.
