In years past, we’ve teamed up with www.Clean-Dezert.org to show you the annual Barstow clean-up they put on every year. But this year the crew at Clean-Dezert had a lot of other things come up, and just couldn’t find all the time necessary to devote to a project such as this. When two brothers—Brandon and Travis from BTF Fabrication—found out that the 2011 clean-up wasn’t going to happen, they picked up the ball and in mid November presented the 2011 Barstow OCD Clean-Up.
Brandon and Travis put in a heck of an effort in just a short amount of time to make sure that we’d be able to get loads of trash out of the desert. With the help of the local BLM and using money they had raised, Brandon and Travis were able to bring in a few dumpsters while a number of kind-hearted souls showed up to lend a hand to fill them up. Off-roaders know that, while we may not have been the ones who littered, it’s everyone’s responsibility to pick up trash when they see it in the dirt, on the rocks, or buried in sand.
