2011 Off Road Expo

This is Giant Motorsports’ Daily Driver Link suspension for the rear of trucks. It uses two links off the frame and Radflo air shock to keep the rear axle in check. The air shock allows the axle to twist slightly under load and then return to position, keeping everything working smoothly.

A panhard rod (track bar) locates the axle laterally. By linking a truck this way instead of with a triangulated four-link, an owner is able to keep stock components like a factory fuel tank.

J.E. Reel’s new 1500 joint. Just to give you a size comparison, that is a 1350 CV joint sitting to the right of it. If you have no solution for the CV driveshaft you keep tearing up, J.E. Reel might have one for you now.

Gen Right had one of the most innovative products at the show. They built a crossover steering kit that uses a bellcrank and a linear bearing to allow the steering link to travel front to rear, and in the same arc as the suspension links, therefore allowing a triangulated four-link and negating a track bar.

Very cool, but you’ll need to have an entire Gen Right double-triangulated four link suspension to run the steering system.
