Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) roared back to life for the 2008 season with Rounds 1 & 2 being held in Pomona CA on April 26th and 27th 2008.
It was a hot and windy weekend and with a near sell out packing the stands CORR set out to make history. On Saturday, April 26th 2008 for the first time ever off road racing was broadcast LIVE on television. SPEED carried the first round of the 2008 season live showing the Pro-2, Pro-4, and Pro-Lite races. It was a huge success! Fret not though, if you missed this coverage it will be run again at a later time, along with the racing from round two on Sunday (both on SPEED and NBC).
This season is shaping up to be quite spectacular! The talent in the classes this year is simply amazing, with last years champions returning to dominate and try to defend their titles and the new guys trying to earn there stripes. CORR also officially welcomed a few new comers to the ranks this weekend by making the "Karts" class and "UTV" class's part of the CORR family. In addition to adding these two classes CORR also promoted the former Super Buggy class to a "Pro" class that is now called "Pro-Buggy".
With all the exciting new additions to CORR, including the LIVE television broadcasts, we are super excited to see where the 2008 season takes us. We can't wait!
