Mdr Memorial 250 Off Road Race Promo

It was a bright and sunny Saturday Morning in the Southern California desert, perfect weather for the kick off to another year of MDR Racing!Even with the almost perfect conditions entries into the MDR Don Griffith Memorial 250 were low at only a mere 50 vehicles entered and only 41 taking the green flag, with an astounding 29 of the 41 vehicles being class 1400/1450 Trucks. The course the contenders took on was the "Barstow A" course, one of the more challengeing courses on the MDR circuit. Out of 41 starters only 16 vehicles completed their required number of laps and finished the race under the time limit. It was truly a brutal course with 25 DNF's.Matt Towery took the overall victory in his Class 8 Full Size Truck, and happend to be the only Class 8 entered in Saturdays race. Matt set a blisteringly fast pace as he averaged over 45miles per hour! Adam Householder brought home the 1450 class win in his Fullsize Chevy while Eric Jacobus won in Class 1 Buggy. The next MDR Race will the be Mojave 250 on March 31st in Barstow California. Hopefully the weather is as nice and the turn out is better. Until then, enjoy the video!
