Early Broncos make us dream of the days of James Garner Racing and Ford's "Baja Bronco" version of one of the all-time-best SUVs. With a coil-suspended Dana 44 leading the way and a Ford 9-inch bringing up the rear, the '66-'77 Broncos have conquered Baja, the Mojave, and countless slower-speed recreational ventures such as family fishing trips and backcountry exploration. Sam Suhr built his Bronco for speed and motored through the darkness to place Second in Class 3.
